Dominic Hubble

Investment banker Dominic Hubble began raising funds for the RNRU in 2002.

Eight years on Dominic's support continues to go from strength to strength.

Dominic was inspired to help raise funds for the Hospital when he saw the difference extra rehabilitation made to his father John's recovery after suffering a pulmonary embolism.

He said: "Rehabilitation is about a lot more than learning to walk and talk, it's about the every day things like going to a shop and taking something down off the shelf - the life skills you need  to get by.

"When you work in banking all day, where everything is geared around making money it is great to be involved in another environment where the more important things in life are a priority."

Since 2002, Dominic has raised over £30,000 for the RNRU - £20,000 was raised through a half-marathon and the rest was his own personal gift to the Hospital.

Dominic joined our Fundraising Advisory Board in 2009. He added: "When I've seen at first-hand the amazing work that is being done and seen the impact of the money it really makes me feel very happy."
