The Positive Lives Centre
Homerton Hospital is building the Positive Lives Centre – a new specialist facility to care for people with HIV.

Hackney has one of the most diverse communities in the UK, but it also has one of the country’s highest rates of HIV. The hospital’s plan is to develop a place of sanctuary for people with HIV, but also somewhere they will receive the best possible medical care, support and advice.
The new centre will be home to the hospital’s HIV clinical services, providing extra welfare and support services along with improved facilities for the hospital’s specialist HIV research information programme.
A fundraising event on March 1st organised by the Higher Hopes charity raised over £50k towards this. We have now appointed a project manager for this programme of work. We are still looking for donations to provide the finishing touches to the new centre. This includes artwork, soft furnishings, displays and patient information.
